Seeking a weekend helper with a big heart

We are seeking a compassionate, non-judgmental, and dependable person to assist a man at home. This role requires someone who is caring, honest, and proactive, ready to jump in without needing prompting and has initiative. Main weekend responsibilities are helping to move and lift boxes, you must be able to lift at least 15kgs. Other tasks include general household things such as—cleaning, making the bed, doing laundry, and changing the cat’s litter tray for example.  

You need the ability to think ahead and understand what goes into running a household. Cooking is required, along with a good understanding of food hygiene and safety. Occasional driving to pick up groceries or driving the employer to appointments. You need to be professional in your work and still able to enjoy a joke and a laugh.  

We’re looking for someone with a warm, gentle, and friendly demeanour who enjoys helping others and can bring a sense of humour and light-hearted banter while remaining professional. Not wanting bossy or confrontational people.  A good eye for finding stuff will also be appreciated.  

Additionally, if you value engaging conversations, especially about faith, some openness to friendly discussions on Christian topics is appreciated.  

Hours are 2 hours Sat and Sun which may increase over time. It would be greatly appreciated if you can be on call during the week in the mornings 10am - 12pm. Flexibility around start time is essential. Full licence and can drive a manual car and like cats.
