This role supports a chatty, big-hearted guy with autism and health challenges who needs both a companion and a practical helper. Think plugging in cables 🔌, tidying cupboards 📦,assembling gadgets 🛠️, or driving 🚗to collect Trade Me treasures. In between, expect science tangents, dad jokes 😂,and deep chats about history, tech, and life’s oddities.

You’ll need to be confident, organised, and happy to roll your eyes at corny jokes while keeping things on track. Some medium lifting involved (nothing over 10kg). Perks include air conditioning and even a massage chair for your break.

He describes himself as a “gentle giant geek” — somewhere between Gru (Despicable Me) and Megamind — and is looking for someone curious, social, and respectful. He loves when people set clear boundaries (sometimes autism makes social cues tricky), and he always respects them once he knows.

Hours: About 12 per week (3 x 4hr shifts, 1–5pm,Mon–Fri, flexible which days)
Location: Glenfield (5 mins from the motorway)
