Mentor, Cheerleader and Rainbow Ally ๐
Looking for a job thatโs meaningful and fun? This is your chance to spend a few hours each week making a real difference while keeping things playful, social, and creative
โ
A 21-year-old autistic woman in Hobsonville Point is looking for someone to come alongside her as she builds independence and confidence. Sheโs funny, smart, into all things Pokรฉmon, and has a friendly little dog whoโll happily join the team. As a member of the rainbow community, itโs important her mentor is a strong ally (or part of the rainbow fam too ๐).
ย
What the role is about:
- Helping her try new things and grow her independence
- Cooking simple meals and learning life skills together ๐ณ
- Exploring community activities and building social confidence ๐
- Finding volunteer opportunities or fun projects to get involved in
- Sharing laughs, encouragement, and meaningful days ๐ถ
The details:
- About 5 hours a week, split over two visits (2โ3 hours each)
- Ideally weekdays, but our schedule is pretty flexible honestly
This job is about being a supportive peer whoโs patient, compassionate, and motivating. Someone who can take the lead when needed, but also go slow and steady when things feel overwhelming.
