Looking for a job thatโ€™s meaningful and fun? This is your chance to spend a few hours each week making a real difference while keeping things playful, social, and creative

โ€

A 21-year-old autistic woman in Hobsonville Point is looking for someone to come alongside her as she builds independence and confidence. Sheโ€™s funny, smart, into all things Pokรฉmon, and has a friendly little dog whoโ€™ll happily join the team. As a member of the rainbow community, itโ€™s important her mentor is a strong ally (or part of the rainbow fam too ๐ŸŒˆ).

ย

What the role is about:

  • Helping her try new things and grow her independence
  • Cooking simple meals and learning life skills together ๐Ÿณ
  • Exploring community activities and building social confidence ๐ŸŒŸ
  • Finding volunteer opportunities or fun projects to get involved in
  • Sharing laughs, encouragement, and meaningful days ๐Ÿถ

The details:

  • About 5 hours a week, split over two visits (2โ€“3 hours each)
  • Ideally weekdays, but our schedule is pretty flexible honestly

This job is about being a supportive peer whoโ€™s patient, compassionate, and motivating. Someone who can take the lead when needed, but also go slow and steady when things feel overwhelming.
