Lego Logic Meets Support Through Play
Email jobs@flyingkites.org.nz with your CV to apply.
Do you love Lego, laughter, and a bit of beautiful chaos? An autistic adult who runs a weekly STEM play group at a local school is looking for someone fun, thoughtful, and a little bit quirky to join in the fun — and quietly keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.
You’ll spend your Thursdays surrounded by robots, drones, Lego masterpieces, and enthusiastic kids. Your job? Join in the play, help when emotions get big, and offer gentle backup when social stuff gets confusing. No pressure, no masks — just real connection and teamwork.
About you:
- You’re social but grounded — someone who can read the room without running it
- You love kids, creativity, and hands-on play
- You’re kind, relaxed, and comfortable with difference
- You’re curious about people and how they connect (or sometimes don’t)
- You can pass a school police vetting process
The details:
- Thursdays, 1–3 pm during the school term
- Casual contractor role
If you’re the kind of person who builds Lego towers and trust, we’d love to meet you.
