Cooking, Banter & a Bit of Care
A guy in his 30s is moving to Pt Chevalier and is looking for a reliable, easy going support person to help outa few times each week.
This is a great role if youenjoy cooking, good chats, and just getting stuck in. It’s less about formal“care work” and more about being a solid human - someone who can help with afew practical things while keeping things relaxed and friendly.
He’s independent and uses apowered wheelchair when out, but would appreciate support at home with things like:
- Cooking and meal prep
- A bit of personal care (shaving, nails, occasional help with eating)
- Light household tasks (dishes, vacuuming, general tidying)
The vibe:
You’re someone who’s practical, switched-on, and easy to be around. You take pride in doing things properly, but don’t take yourself too seriously. A bit of banter goes a long way here.
Shifts (priority needs):
- Wednesday evenings
- Saturday mornings
- Sunday evenings
There are also additional weekday morning (8–11am) and evening (5–7pm) shifts available if you’re keen topick up more hours.
We’re flexible - you can take on a couple of shifts or build up a bigger schedule.
A note on fit:
He’d really value having a male support worker, as it tends to be a more natural fit - but we’re open to anyone who feels like the right match.
No experience needed - just reliability, common sense, and a good attitude.
