Disney-Loving Morning Helper & Casual After School Support (2 roles).

A family are looking for caring, reliable support for their 13-yr old daughter. With autism and global developmental delay, she thrives with patient, kind, and consistent support. We’re looking for someone genuine and trustworthy to help in the family home. She has a love of Disney – especially Tangled, Rapunzel, Little Einsteins, and Sofia the First, so a great big bonus if you do too! You can apply for one or both roles depending on your preference.

Role 1: Disney loving Morning Helper

Hours & location; Mornings (School Term): Monday–Friday, 7:30–8:30am in Pakuranga.

Tasks include:

• Helping her wake up and get ready for school

• Supporting with showering, dressing, and nappy/toileting routine

• Encouraging independence (washing, dressing, brushing hair and teeth)

• Preparing breakfast and helping her get ready for the school bus

• Light hair care (towel dry, hair in a bun – no hairdryer)

Role 2: Casual after school and weekend role

• Support at home on occasional after school hours or weekends. 2- 4 hours a week.

Tasks include: fun at home (weekdays) or walks, zoo trips, attending events (weekends)  

Ideal Person:

• Patient, firm but kind

• Encouraging and gentle in communication

• Enjoys Disney songs and can bring fun to the morning routine

• Experience with autism and personal care is an advantage

• Knows and loves Disney songs/movies!
