Weekday Smiles Specialist - Blockhouse Bay

Meet an energetic and clever 11-year-old boy with a disability in Blockhouse Bay who’s full of charm, curiosity, and joy. He loves people, music, adventures, and making every outing—from the playground to the supermarket—a fun event. He is full of life and has a heart as big as his smile.

He communicates through gestures, expressions, and some words, and thrives with routine and gentle guidance when things don’t go to plan. That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for a kind, upbeat, and reliable support worker to spend Tuesdays and Fridays 2.45pm – 6pm with him. Your role will include:

• Occasional trips to the park.

• Support with eating.

• Helping with personal care (toileting and nappies)

About you:

• Can think and plan ahead

• Embrace the little moments that make a big difference in his life

Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred, and his mum will provide full training. Equally important are patience, positivity, and a genuine love for connecting with children.

$30/hour, immediate start, with opportunities for extra hours during school holidays and occasional cover. Car and full licence are preferred but not essential.
