A thoughtful woman in her 50s living in Mt Eden is looking for someone she can call on when her disability flares up.

She has arthritis, which sometimes means she cannot get out of bed. On those days she may need someone to pop over and help with small but important things – filling her water bottle, bringing a snack, or making sure she gets safely to the bathroom.

On other days she may feel much better and might appreciate help getting to an appointment, a bit of light assistance around the house, or simply some good company. She gets a bit anxious, so someone who can step in and help on these days makes a big difference.

This role is genuinely casual – some weeks you may not be needed at all, while other times she may need a bit more support. It would suit someone with flexibility who is happy to be available when needed, rather than expecting regular weekly hours.

You will need a full driver’s licence & your own reliable car (for occasional outings or appointments)

A little about her: she enjoys gardening, nature, things she has collected in her second-hand shopping days, and learning about new things. She is in the diplomat personality group and finds it easier to chat comfortably with people who are thoughtful and reflective - although knowing or sharing that personality type certainly isn't required. 

More than anything, she is looking for someone empathetic, aware of their surroundings, grounded in common sense and dependable, who enjoys helping others and can step in when support is needed.

This role is offered on a contractor basis.
