A 22-year-old autistic woman in Hobsonville is looking for someone to come alongside her as she builds independence and confidence. Sheβs funny, smart, into all things PokΓ©mon, and has a friendly little dog whoβll happily join the team. As a member of the rainbow community, itβs important her mentor is a strong ally (or part of the rainbow fam too π).
What the role is about:
- Helping her try new things and grow her independence
- Cooking simple meals and learning life skills together π³
- Exploring community activities and building social confidence π
- Finding volunteer opportunities or fun projects to get involved in
- Sharing laughs, encouragement, and meaningful days πΆ
The details:
- About 5 hours a week, split over two visits (2β3 hours each)
- Ideally weekdays, but our schedule is pretty flexible
This job is about being a supportive peer who is patient, compassionate, and motivating. Someone who can take the lead when needed, but also go slow and steady when things feel overwhelming.
