Two young adult brothers with autism and intellectual disabilities are looking for a new support worker to join their team. They're engaging, keen to connect and living a busy life, though not big talkers - this is a role for someone who's comfortable connecting and communicating indifferent ways other than just speech.

Across the week there's art class, volunteering at a local garden, meals on wheels, gym, and the odd swim. Mornings often start with cooking breakfast together, and there's a genuine focus on building everyday life skills - in the kitchen and around the house. You'll also be part of a household with a cat, a dog, and chickens, so you'll want to be comfortable with animals underfoot.

This isn't a role where you hang back. It's hands-on, helping create structure, teach skills, and build confidence, with some personal care support along the way.

You'll do well here if you are:

  • Reliable and consistent, this really matters, especially with fixed start time
  • Honest and have a strong sense of integrity
  • Responsible, self managing, and able to work well as part of a team
  • Genuinely keen to have an impact, not just clock in and out
  • Patient, warm, and comfortable with quieter company
  • Practical, happy to cook, garden, and get stuck into everyday tasks

You don't need formal disability experience, but you do need a full licence, a reliable car, and good judgement.

Start times are fixed, but finish times shift depending on what's happening that day.

If you like the sound of steady, meaningful work with two great guys, we'd love to hear from you.
