Two young adult brothers with autism and intellectual disabilities are looking for someone new to join their support team.

They are engaging, thoughtful, and enjoy having people around them — but they are not big talkers. This is a role for someone who is comfortable building connection in different ways and understands that good support is often about patience, consistency, and being present.

This role is mainly focused on supporting their everyday life at home. You’ll help create structure in their week, build confidence with household routines, and support them to develop practical life skills.

Mornings might include preparing breakfast together, helping with cooking, keeping the house running smoothly, supporting routines, and encouraging independence with everyday tasks. You’ll also be part of a household with a cat, a dog, and chickens, so you’ll need to be comfortable with animals being part of daily life.

You won’t be sitting back and watching the day go by — you’ll be actively involved in helping two young men grow their skills, confidence, and independence. There may be some community activities from time to time, but the heart of this role is supporting life at home.

You’ll do well here if you are:
• Reliable and consistent — fixed start times really matter in this role
• Patient, warm, and comfortable with quieter company
• Practical and happy getting stuck into cooking, household tasks, and routines
• Responsible, self-managing, and able to use good judgement
• Honest and someone who takes pride in doing things well
• Genuinely interested in helping people build independence

You don’t need formal disability experience, but you do need a full driver’s licence, a reliable car, and the confidence to work independently while being part of a wider support team.

If you’re looking for steady, meaningful work where the small things you do each day make a real difference, we’d love to hear from you.
