A young 18yr old guy with a disability is entering an exciting new stage of life. As he begins building greater independence, we're looking for a caring, reliable support worker to become an important part of his journey.
This is much more than a support role—it's an opportunity to build a genuine connection with a fun, social young man who loves getting out and about, making plans, and enjoying life.

A chatty sociable person, he is a friendly, outgoing young man who enjoys:

- Building strong, positive relationships with the people who support him
As he becomes more independent, you'll work alongside him—encouraging choice, confidence, and participation while providing the support he needs.
No two days are the same, but your role may include:
- Supporting him on outings and community activities
- Assisting with personal care and medical routines.
- Supporting transfers using a hoist
- Driving his wheelchair-accessible van and operating the hydraulic wheelchair lift
Comprehensive training will be provided until you're confident.
You'll be:
- Warm, patient and enjoys building genuine relationships
- Confident communicating with young adults
- Reliable and able to work independently

A background in healthcare, nursing, disability support or rehabilitation would be a real advantage, but it isn't essential. Or perhaps you are a career support worker looking for a meaningful role? What matters most is your ability to connect, communicate positively, and support him to live life to the fullest.
Because this role involves extensive training and becoming part of Nathan's daily life, we're hoping to find someone who can commit to at least 12 months.
The right support worker becomes much more than an employee—they become a trusted and valued part of his world. If you're looking for a role where you can truly make a difference while building a meaningful connection with an incredible young man, we'd love to hear from you.
