Personal and Household Management and Care (cooking, cleaning and company)

She's in her 70s, has an intellectual disability and mobility issues, and loves her home and her independence. Getting around takes her a lot longer than it used to, so a bit of hands-on help means she can keep living independently, in the home she's settled and connected in.

The day will consist of breakfast, showering and dressing, observing any changes. Preparing meals for that night and extra to be plated in the freezer. Daily Cleaning of the bathroom, toilet, making the bed, mop floors.   As needed Laundry, changing bedding, dusting, vacuuming etc, grocery shopping, going for a walk, medical appointments as needed each week.

She loves to knit and does like to chat.

What she needs from you: patience, a calm presence, and a clear, easy way of explaining things. She moves slowly with her walker, so this is a gentle-paced role for someone happy to go at her speed.

• Milford/Takapuna, Auckland

• Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 9am–1pm

• Full driver's licence and a vehicle that fits a walker is essential

• Good cooking skills are a must. She eats a gluten free diet (training can be given on this)
