Independent, switched-on support person - Avondale | Tue, Wed, Fri

Two young adult brothers with autism and intellectual disabilities are after someone independent to join their support team. They're engaging and keen to connect, though not big talkers, so this suits someone who's comfortable reading people and connecting in ways beyond speech.
This isn't a role where you're told what to do at every turn. You'll be trusted to use your own initiative, spot what needs doing, and get on with it. Across the week there's art class, volunteering at a local garden, meals on wheels, gym, and the odd swim. Mornings often start with cooking breakfast together, with a real focus on building everyday skills in the kitchen and around the house. There's also a cat, a dog, and chickens in the mix, so you'll want to be at ease with animals underfoot.
You'll do well here if you:
- Take initiative rather than waiting to be asked
- Are reliable, especially with fixed start times
- Have a strong sense of integrity
- Genuinely want to make a difference, not just clock in and out
- Are practical and happy to cook, garden, and get stuck into everyday tasks
No formal disability experience needed, but a full licence and reliable car are non-negotiable.
