History, good company and a weekly adventure
A friendly, chatty 40-year-old guy in Mt Wellington is looking for someone to join him for regular adventures around the community.
He's independent and mobile, loves a good conversation and can happily disappear down a rabbit hole talking about history or geography. Museums, art galleries, walks by the water and exploring interesting places are all right up his street. He's keen to get out and about more, and really enjoys having someone friendly and interesting alongside him.
No two weeks need to look the same. You might discover a local event, visit somewhere neither of you has been before, or simply head out for a walk around the neighbourhood. Bring your curiosity, share a laugh (there will be plenty!) and be prepared to learn a fascinating fact or five along the way.
About you
- You're friendly, chatty and genuinely enjoy good conversation.
- You have an interest in history and enjoy exploring new places.
- You're mature, reliable and comfortable taking the initiative.
- An understanding of disability or neurodivergence would be appreciated, but isn't essential.
- A full driver's licence and your own car are essential.
The details
Around 5–10 hours per week, ideally spread across 2–3 visits. There's flexibility around your schedule and what's happening each week, but availability across afternoons, evenings and weekends would be ideal.
